A new Vehicle Maintenance Unit at Motherwell is giving the Engineering team an opportunity to grow external business alongside the servicing and maintenance of Gist’s own fleet.

The team already services the fleet for two external customers from the purpose-built, two-bay, 325 square metre unit, which opened in August.

Alex Cunningham, Motherwell’s Engineering Manager, says: “We currently maintain and repair the tractor units and trailers that operate out of Motherwell and Carlisle depots, with vehicles on a 12-week maintenance schedule. We are looking to expand our third-party servicing and repairs in the local area next year.”
